Whether it’s a game of squash, a dip in the pool, a workout or an afternoon skate you’re after, you will find what you’re looking for at Meadow Park Sports Centre.

The sports centre was built in 1993 and ever since has been a popular attraction for locals and visitors alike. The centre includes an NHL-sized ice arena, a 4,500-square-foot fitness centre, fitness studio, 2 squash courts, a 25-metre swimming pool, leisure pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna.

The swimming pool and fitness area are open daily from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. and drop-in rates are reasonable. The fitness area includes a full selection of free-weights, plate-loaded machines and Cybex machines. The cardio room is home to treadmills, stair climbers, eliptical trainers and stationary bikes. Aerobics and boxing classes are also available.

Public skating takes place on most afternoons and some Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday evenings. Skate rentals are available and friendly and courteous employees are on hand to help.Please call for an updated schedule as there are hockey tournaments that go on during the spring.
